Salis Accounting Ltd is a UK accounting practice built for growing businesses and care providers who want more than a year-end tax return.
We combine reliable compliance (bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, corporation tax and annual accounts) with genuine advisory support that helps owners make better decisions with real numbers.
We work with owner-managed businesses turning over £50,000 to £2 million, and we have a dedicated service, Salis Care, for children's residential care homes. Care-home finance has its own demands: per-placement profitability, sleep-in pay and National Minimum Wage, cash flow that depends on local authority payment terms, and financial viability that regulators want to see evidenced. Salis Care is built around those needs.
Every client gets a named director who understands their business, and a fixed monthly fee with no surprises. For businesses that need strategic input but aren't ready for a full-time finance hire, our Virtual FD service provides board-level reporting, cash-flow forecasting and growth planning on demand.
Founder
Daniel Marie, ACMA CGMA
Daniel is a CIMA-qualified chartered management accountant and holds a CIMA Practising Certificate. He has a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Hertfordshire.
Before founding Salis in 2026, he spent over a decade in corporate finance:
- dunnhumby (2013–2019): senior commercial finance analyst and business partner. Managed a £20m software development budget, built cost-attribution and product profitability models used by leadership, and led the data work behind R&D tax relief claims with KPMG.
- J Sainsbury plc (2010–2013): balance sheet controller and accounts payable, controlling a payables ledger with over £1.5bn of monthly transactions.
He has also led teams and managed budgets in the charity sector, which shapes how Salis works with not-for-profit providers.
